Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-Illinois)

With her exceptional qualifications and record of impartiality, Judge Jackson will no doubt be a Justice who will protect the rights of all Americans and will be committed to America’s foundational principles of freedom and equality for all.

For too long, Black Americans have not had a seat at the table—which is why each generation must work to bend the arc of the moral universe closer to justice. By appointing Justice Jackson, @POTUS and the Senate finally gave a Black woman a front row seat in our justice system.
