Six months ago, @POTUS signed our historic #infrastructure bill into law.

Since then, the law has allocated $9.7B to California to repair roads and bridges, modernize ports and airports, deliver clean water and more.

Democrats are building a better America #ForThePeople.

Busy week in Washington! I attended 6 hearings, 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘤𝘩 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 12 𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘸𝘢𝘵𝘤𝘩. So, I'll do my best to keep this quick.

Here's 6️⃣ hearings by the numbers:

0️⃣ dollars.

That's the amount of funding that went to the failed Yucca Mountain Nuclear Repository last year because I fought to block it. I urged @ENERGY to pursue new consent-based alternatives. In this week's hearing with @SecGranholm, I received an update on that progress.

1️⃣2️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ years.

That's how long it's been since we've faced a drought like this in the West. I asked the Bureau of Reclamation about efforts to expedite the delivery of $8.3 billion of investments in western water infrastructure included in the #Infrastructure Law.

5️⃣0️⃣% standard.

By 2030, Nevada has committed to 50% of our energy coming from renewable resources. I asked @SecGranholm about this administration's plans to revitalize and modernize our grid to support this transition to clean energy.

6️⃣.8️⃣ lives.

Out of every 100,000 veterans, that's how many lives are lost to suicide. One is too many. I'm supporting legislation to invest in mental health resources for our veterans and I asked the Veterans Health Administration about it during this week's hearing.

That's @Interior's growth goal for renewable energy generation on public lands -- in just one year. I asked @SecDebHaaland about this ambitious roadmap and encouraged early and proactive consultation with local communities to ensure that this goal can be met.

4️⃣5️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ homes.

That is the number of homes that will benefit from the expanded Weatherization Assistance Program included in the #Infrastructure Law. I asked @SecGranholm about what more we can do to cut consumer energy costs & make this program accessible to all Nevadans.

3️⃣0️⃣0️⃣,0️⃣0️⃣0️⃣ abandoned mine features.

That is the estimate in JUST Nevada. I asked the @EPAMichaelRegan about efforts to protect our public lands and allow Nevadans to facilitate legacy mining cleanups.
