To commemorate #NationalPoliceWeek , I spoke on the House Floor urging my colleagues to support the brave men and women who serve in law enforcement. Specifically, we must make sure they receive the care and benefits they so desperately need and deserve. Watch my remarks below ⬇️

From Sen. Crapo, representing Idaho

PASSED → A bipartisan resolution marking #NationalPoliceWeek and reiterating support for the men and women in law enforcement.

This resolution was led by Sen. Charles E. (Chuck) Grassley (R-IA) and Sen. Richard J. Durbin (D-IL) and cosponsored by 84 of their colleagues.

We all must recognize the important role police officers have in making our communities safe and show support for police and law enforcement personnel. They need our support perhaps now more than ever.

From Rep. Kelly, representing Pennsylvania

Thanks to the New Castle community for honoring law enforcement during the recent #NationalPoliceWeek!

From Sen. Coons, representing Delaware

The men and women who protect and serve our neighborhoods in Delaware and across the country deserve our thanks and our support. Glad to join my colleagues in unanimously adopting a resolution to commemorate #NationalPoliceWeek.

From Rep. Palmer, representing Alabama

Join me in honoring police men and women during #NationalPoliceWeek. We are thankful for their service this week and every week.

From Sen. Cruz, representing Texas

I’m proud to stand unequivocally with the brave men and women of law enforcement.

May God continue to bless the courageous police officers who keep us safe. #NationalPoliceWeek

From Rep. Beyer, representing Virginia

The House just passed Rep. David Trone (D-MD-6)'s bill to expand the Public Safety Officers’ Benefits Program with coverage for first responders who are disabled or die by suicide after service-related traumatic events [it currently excludes mental health issues and suicide]. I voted YES.

Rep. Donald Beyer (D-VA-8) Thanks, Rep. Donald Beyer (D-VA-8). Always appreciate the support — and so do our first responders! Especially during #NationalPoliceWeek.

From Sen. Tillis, representing North Carolina

We need to do everything we can to make sure our law enforcement officers are protected and supported.

To send united a message that acts of violence against officers are unacceptable, we should take up and pass the Protect & Serve Act.

From Rep. Malliotakis, representing New York

As we wrap up #NationalPoliceWeek, it was an honor to have members of @NYCPDDEA & law enforcement from around nation at our @HouseGOP roundtable to discuss proposals to improve public safety, support our police & hold municipalities that don’t accountable. We #BackTheBlue!

From Rep. Cline, representing Virginia

Every day, police officers put on their uniforms and badges and act upon a sacred oath to protect and serve. Police officers defend even their harshest critics and deserve our deepest respect, which is why I took time today to recognize #NationalPoliceWeek.
